Artisan’s new website features four on-line galleries of mosaic medallions: Tumbled marble, Solid Polished Marble, Kitchen Backsplash, and Marble Carpets. These galleries will aid designers and trades people, as well as their clients, in selecting interior and exterior mosaic medallions for commercial and residential applications.

There is a great deal of interest today in this ancient form of art. Tiny, hand-cut pieces of marble or slate, laboriously organized into stunning patterns and motifs. Mosaics are currently used as the centerpiece of flooring, set in hardwood or tile; wallcover and backsplash; tabletops; and patios.

“Not everyone understands what a designer or decorator means by ‘mosaics’. Our new site offers a visual insight and provides consumers with a wide array of mosaic medallions to choose from,” state Artisan founder, Dean Avey. The new site also offers design suggestions for unique residential, commercial and institutional applications of mosaics.
