MothaEagle Rites of PassageSocial Circle, Georgia (PressExposure) September 12, 2007 -- The first MothaEagle Rites of Passage© ("MEROP") was held at the MightyFine Equine Ranch. Eight initiates, women from various walks of life and from as far away as California, completed a weekend of rituals, graduating on Sunday, July 29, 2007. About MothaEagle Rites of Passage© WHAT: MothaEagle Rights of Passage©, for women ages 18 to post-menopausal, is a nature-based weekend ritual program. MEROP is a venue for reclaiming and strengthening a woman's personal treasures through ritual, thus allowing clarity of her life’s purpose. This program features five rituals: Earth, Fire, Water, Mineral and Creativity. As women seek their personal politics, explore their sexuality, express their creativity and re-create themselves, it is critical that we open ourselves to healing rituals as a necessity and once again see ritual as the optimum vehicle for self-realization. WHO: MEROP was founded by Khadijah Abdullah-Fardan, mental health counselor and ritualist, living outside of Atlanta. Each ritual is facilitated by various indigenous ritualists and ritual processors, and overseen by NAACP Image Award Winning Actress Oyafumike Ogunlano, and Chief Iya N’Ifa Oshun Monife. “After a lifetime of sharing, caretaking, working, child birth, pursuing careers, surviving guilt and exploitation … the strongest woman amongst us is in need of ritual.” About MothaEagle Rites of Passage If you would like more information on other MEROP programs, visit the Web site: http://www.myspace.com/mothaeaglemourningcamp Press Release Source: http://PressExposure.com/PR/MothaEagle_Rites_of_Passage.html Press Release Submitted On: September 12 14:50:07, 2007 | |||
