JamboKids Dolls & Books Receive 2008 Preferred Choice Awards from Creative Child MagazineGreat Falls, VA (PressExposure) August 14, 2008 -- Soft dolls – with the names Rachel, Jazzie, Anya, Tilly, Luz, and Niecey – and storybooks featuring a Chinese Celestial Dragon, a Russian Snow Leopard, a Mayan Little Butterfly, a Liberian Dream, a Songbird, and a Surprise Pie, inspired this year’s Creative Child Magazine Awards panel earning JamboKids, maker of multicultural dolls and storybooks for children, six top honors in the 2008 competition. Creative Child Magazine's Toy Awards Program is unique in that all products submitted are reviewed by moms, music educators and early education professionals. Products are not reviewed by any one person. They are reviewed by many people – the very people who purchase them. Each year in May, a 2-day event is held in Henderson, Nevada where over a hundred guest reviewers are invited to attend the organized review event at a local convention center. All products are divided into categories and displayed at various review stations. Guest reviewers are asked to sit and review each product at one station and then move to another station and so forth and so on. This allows for each product to be given multiple reviews. All award winners are officially announced at www.creativechild.com and are showcased in their big Holiday issue, distributed in early November. Only one product per category can win a Toy of the Year award. The remaining finalists receive a prestigious Preferred Choice award – given to Runners-Up of the Toy of the Year. Award-winning JamboKids dolls and storybook characters represent a range of cultures - Asian, African, Hispanic, North American, and Russian - reflecting the growing cultural diversity of our society. Through their adventures, they inspire kids to appreciate differences that they may encounter in our own culture and prepare them for a global world by modeling life skills and values that promote cognitive development, emotional maturity, social awareness, civic mindedness, and other virtues that are universally valued by people around the world. The doll and book sets give parents, grandparents, and caregivers an opportunity to cuddle up and bond with their kids and give them the attention they crave. They also help stimulate interest in reading, enhance language skills, promote one-on-one communication, build attention spans and listening skills, and encourage a child's curiosity, creativity, and imagination.
